I refinished this jewelry armoire with a coquette aesthetic and love how it turned out.

I couldn’t really change the interior so I picked my colors and design based on the green velvet that was not going anywhere.

I started by cleaning the exterior with krud kutter and cleaning the interior with hot water/dish soap and a toothbrush.

Next, I prime the piece with Kilz primer that I had tinted with as much black as possible. (Makes gray.. this part would need to be done at a hardware store that sells paint)

Once the primer layer is fully dry, I add my next coat of color, which is “Peachy Keen” by Country Chic Paint.

Once that layer of paint has dried, I begin with Peachy Keen again but now I am working in small sections. I add one layer of peachy keen, then “dot” on “Crinoline” (a white tone). Each color has its own brush, and I then dab a fresh brush over both colors to blend them in by stippling.

Here is the look I am going for.. this type of blend gives it a cloudy, ethereal look.

After laying out my transfers to select the pieces I am going to use.. I start to apply them onto my piece. The transfers are “Vintage Dream” by redesign with Prima.

I use a transfer tool & a bit of patience for an amazing result. 😍

After sanding with a fine grit sand paper, (you can use heavier grits depending on the look you are going for) I sealed my piece with “Clear Coat” by Country Chic Paint.
(Transfers need to be sealed)

I sealed my hardware with a iridescent green wax. I apologize for not being able to link it but the product has been discontinued.

Here is the final result 😍😍😍
