Whimsical Wonderland: Handmade Alice in Wonderland Magnets to Enchant Your Space

Step into a world of wonder with these charming Alice in Wonderland inspired fridge magnets. Each piece is handcrafted with love - from a dreamy stack of teacups to the curious Alice herself - designed to bring a touch of storybook magic into your home. Perfect for lovers of whimsical decor, vintage aesthetics, or unique handmade gifts, these magnets add character to any fridge, locker, or creative nook. In this post, I'll share how I created these unique magnets!
First, I started off with a few moulds and Amazing Casting Resin in White. This resin only takes about 10 minutes to set up. I wear full PPE when using Resin.
Next, I pulled some color inspiration from my beautiful spring garden, especially my climbing roses and clematis. I love plants that trail & climb! Well, honestly I love most plants! LOL
I applied white gesso to each casting, and then started to create a magical display of pastels to bring them to life. The best part about it is that I was able to use mostly leftover acryclics from paint by number kits. My daughter just had a birthday party and we had quite a bit of paint left!
I heavily watered the paints on my little tray so they would glide and blend together seamlessly. It was so much fun. I used mostly pastels but I like to incorporate a dusty brown for a little bit of an aged look.
I added a little round magnet to the back with extreme glue, added some shimmer with wax, and they were ready for use! You could also spray them with a clear matte sealer for extra protection.
I can't get over how these turned out! I can't wait to make more. I hope I've inspired you as well!
